Çamyuva Turkey

Denizli - Turkey Çamyuva is a small town in Turkey to the south of Kemer and just north of the ruins of Phaeselis. Formerly a village without a municipal administration it was recently merged with the neighbouring village of Kiriş and the official name for the two together is Çamyuva. Although during the past few years much construction has occurred these two towns are still well-known for their numerous olive and orange groves. Çamyuva is located southwest of Antalya. It is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on its eastern side, Tahtalı Mountain on its west side and the Ancient city Phaselis and the district of Tekirova at its south side. Çamyuvas population is now about 10,000, but during the summer season it increases to 30,000. Çamyuva was a neighborhood of Kemer until 1944 and its previous name was Ağva. It was separated from Kemer and founded as a village in that year. According to a law of 1961 non-Turkish location names were changed and this district has been called Çamyuva since then. Çamyuva is a resort in the district of Kemer province of Antalya, Turkey situated in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea about 7 kilometers south-west of Kemer. Çamyuva in recent years has become a popular tourist resort, frequented mostly by middle-income tourists from the former USSR, Finland and Central Europe. Çamyuva has a long pebble beach and many hotels, restaurants and cafes.

But if it's nightlife your after you'll have to head off the 7 kilometers to nearby Kemer. However, the vibrant nightlife never invades the quieter areas of the Antalya coast like Çamyuva, making it simple to have a comfortable and quiet holiday. Çamyuva sits on the coast in front of the Taurus Mountains with unspoiled bays and beaches allowing spectacular views of the forest and hills. Located only at 5 km south of Kemer, Çamyuva is a small town which is well known with its famous orange and lemon groves. Çamyuva is also an important holiday destination choosen by European citiziens as it has considerable amount of holiday resorts as well as a blue flag beach. Besides being an important holiday destination, the construction sector in Çamyuva has grown considerably over the last years. The fact that construction permits are limited to only two floors allows this small town to preserve its nature and beauty. There is new ski area at Mount Tahtali only 16 km from Çamyuva. Properties in Çamyuva are mostly a short distance to the beach - somewhere between 300 meters to 1 kilometer. Two volcanic rocks on the right side of the road when you drive from Kemer to Çamyuva are called Twin Rocks - İkiz Kayalar-Karataş. Once past these rocks you'll see an exit to Camyuva.

The town is small and wonderful with its open air market every Wednesday for fresh fruits and vegetables. Within 10 minutes you can be on secluded beaches, exploring ancient ruins, hiking through ancient landscapes or taking the gondola to the top of mount Olympos. The main beach is a resort style beach with chairs, umbrella’s and water sports just a short 5 minute walk from the center. Antalya is just 45 minutes away and Antalya Airport is just 57 kilometers away, so while Çamyuva offers tranquility, the bright city lights are still nearby.

Antalya Airport is about 45 minute drive from Çamyuva.
