Dalaman Turkey

Dalaman - Turkey Dalaman is not as developed or well known as the other major holiday resort havens along the Mediterranean coast and as a result it is not as expensive as most of the more lavish resorts. Sarigerme is a nearby holiday beach resort which is about 15 kilometers west of Dalaman. There are multiple German owned developments which have been opened including a number of all-inclusive hotel resorts and a world-class Golf Course overlooking the spectacular blue Mediterranean and near many historic sites. The clear blue waters and fresh sea breezes have also been the reason why Dalaman attracts water sports enthusiasts and yachtsmen. Iztuzu Beach at Dalyan and the mud baths there offer a relaxing and enjoyable excursion as well as Sultaniye Thermal Springs on the edge of Köycegiz Lake. But this certainly does not mean that Dalaman should be considered as only a transportation hub. It possesses a fine beach, bars, restaurants and all the amenities for holiday travellers.

Dalaman International Airport is located on the south end of town and is one of the busier airports in the country, especially during the summer. There are several direct flights to and from Istanbul daily, as well as other Turkish destinations like Izmir, Bodrum, Antalya, and Ankara. There are daily and weekly direct flights in and out of many major European cities. The flights increase significantly during the summer months and major travel times from late April through mid-October. There are seasonal flights from many European and CIS Countries' like London, Berlin, Munich, Moscow, Kiev, Amsterdam, and others to Dalaman Airport. There are 3 flights per week all winter from the United Kingdom. There are daily frequent flights from Istanbul by Turkish Airlines all year long. All Charter Airlines serving Turkey in the summer such as Thomas Cook, First Choice, Thomson, My Travel, Jet Blue from Europe - Aeroflot, Pan Ukraine, Pulkova, and others from the CIS fly into the holiday resort of Dalaman.

The Dalaman International Airport is located on the edge of the city of Dalaman.
